CNC Machinist - (Plumsteadville, PA -- Posted November 2008)

This is a full time position to perform various functions in the machine shop of Scientific Instrument Services (SIS) in Plumsteadville. PA.

SIS specializes in precision machining of miniature parts and instruments for scientific and medical instruments. The SIS machine shops are professional, clean and modern shops with the latest technology including computer controlled CNC lathes, CNC mills, turning centers and Swiss style equipment. We offer a clean, safe, ISO environment, smoke-free, heated and air-conditioned shop geared to manufacture close tolerance and high finishes required for the medical and scientific components.

The job involves working in our machine shop on CNC Vertical and Horizontal Mills, CNC Turning Centers, Swiss Screw Machines, and other machine shop equipment machining precision parts from stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, polymers and many other materials.
