Assembly and Manufacture Shops

Scientific Instrument Services has extensive experience in the assembly of scientific instruments and components.  From sub-assemblies to complete instruments, SIS can provide electromechanical assembly to your specifications. SIS has the capabilities to not only manufacture your parts, but we can to the assembly of subassemblies or complete systems.

The Short Path Thermal Desorption System shown above was designed by SIS using a 3-D CAD system, then manufactured in our machine shop, and finally assembled by our instrument technicians.  

SIS routinely assembles various types of controllers including temperature controllers, process controllers and motion control devices.  From our own patented Short Path Thermal Desorption Systems and AutoProbe systems to OEM customer sub-assemblies, we utilize the finest components and experienced personnel to provide controllers and assemblies.

The probe shown above was designed by SIS for a major instrument manufacturer to serve their need for a direct probe.  SIS designed this system using our 3-D CAD system, manufactured it in our machine shop, and then assembled it in our assembly shops.  We now sell this product to support this customers instrument base.

Assembly Facilities

We have several labs devoted to the assembly of systems.  Included in these labs are two filament repair and manufacture labs, a welding and brazing lab, an electronics assembly lab, an assembly lab and a quality control lab.
